PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit customers other than members from taking out handy scanners and to prevent handy scanners from being lost by providing a handy scanner station with a lock mechanism for turning each handy scanner to a taking-out enabled state at the time of reading out a member's card. SOLUTION: The handy scanner station is provided with thirty loading boards b1 for storing thirty handy scanners e.g. an inserting port b2 for a member's card and a touch panel type display part b3. These constitutional elements are loaded on a rack b4 with casters. The inserting port b2 supplies a member's card to a card reading part for reading out a bar code printed on the member's card. When the member's card is inserted into the port b2 and a touch panel on the display part b3 is operated in accordance with information displayed on the display part b3, a handy scanner can be taken out from any one of loading boards b1. |
