PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the output light reflecting efficiency and heat radiating effect of a light emitting diode display device and, at the same time, to improve the reliability of the device in quality, by forming recesses having reflecting walls on the surface of the insulating layer of a composite substrate having a conductor layer by spot facing so that the recesses may reach the conductor layer, and fixing light emitting diodes on the bottoms of the recesses. SOLUTION: A composite substrate 2 has first and second copper layers 201a and 201b, first and third base material layers 202a and 202c made of nonwoven glass fibers impregnated with an epoxy resin, and a second base material layer 202b. The first base material layer 202a is surrounded by a reflecting wall 207a, and recesses 207G, 207R, and 207B are formed on the surface of the layer 202a by spot facing so that recesses may reach the first copper layer 201a. Three light emitting diodes 200G (green), 200R (red), and 200B (blue) are respectively fixed on the bottoms of the recesses 207G, 207R, and 207B with silver paste. The first electrode of each diode is connected to an electrode pattern 203 through a bonding wire 206, and the second electrode of each diode formed on the upper surface of the diode is connected to a common electrode pattern through a wire 208. |
