PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column connecting device for enhancing assembling strength. SOLUTION: A column connecting device connects a first column 1 to a second column 2. A first end plate 3 is fixed to the end face of the first column 1, a downward approximately inverse T-shaped protrusion 4 is formed at one side of the first end plate 3 and a downward threaded plate 6 with a threaded hole 5 is formed on the other side of the first end plate 3. A second end plate 7 is fixed to the end face of the second column 2, an approximately Y-shaped hole 8 is formed at one side of the second end plate 7, into which the wide part of the protrusion 4 is inserted and locked, and a screw 10 is inserted from a hole 9 formed in the side face of the second column 2 and threaded to the threaded hole 5 in the threaded plate 6 to lock the wide part of the protrusion 4 to the lower face edge of the narrow part of the approximately T-shaped hole 8.
