<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously operate a virtual server system by making a client who is set as a spare server serve instead of a server when a failure occurs in a virtual print server. SOLUTION: A client 702 who is designated as a spare server by a server 703 or the client 702 who is used as a spare server by a user sets a server in addition to setting a client PC. virtual print server service 712 on the client 702 to whom a spare server is set periodically communicates with the server 703, acquires scheduled job information that is kept by the server 703 and stores a print order list that is created based on the job information in a storing means. When a failure occurs in the server 703, the client 702 becomes a spare server and serves for the server 703 instead. Therefore, it is possible to continue print processing on a network.</p> |
