PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a recorder small to the utmost and to improve the operability of the recorder by selecting an angle between an image display screen of a display means and a line segment tying a lower end of a front wall of the recorder provided with a display means and a tip of an original placed on an original placing feed paper part at a ceiling side of a space to be an obtuse angle. SOLUTION: A space 10 that is open toward a front side of the recorder as an opening part and concaved toward the depth of the recorder is provided under a liquid crystal display device 5. Then an original placing paper feed part 1 is placed to a bottom side of the space 10, and a depth (b) of the original placing paper feed part 1 is selected to be a half or over of the size of a sheet original S in the original carrying direction with a maximum size (in this case, size A4) at which the paper is fed to the recorder. Moreover, an angleθ2 between an image display screen 5a of a display device 5 and a line segment (imaginary line) (d) tying a lower end (c) of a front wall of the recorder provided with the display device 5 and a tip of an original placed on an original placing feed paper part 1 at a ceiling side of the space 10 is selected to be an obtuse angle.
