PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce uncomfortableness due to waiting time for start and to improve operability by providing the electronic conference device with a GUI having a function for generating an effective sound by using a picture selected at the start of application as animation. SOLUTION: In the case of starting the application of a telephone directory 11, a mouse pointer is moved to a telephone directory application picture and clicked. Thereby the selected telephone application is started and starting processing is executed without displaying a window on a monitor. Simultaneously an effective sound is outputted while executing the animation operation of a picture expressing the application. Thus the device is provided with the GUI having the function of outputting an animation and an effective sound for started application. Thereby uncomfortableness due to waiting time for start is reduced and the complicatedness of the operation is removed without hiding other application windows.
