<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a white or light-colored electrostatic charge controlling agent fit for a toner for color printing as well as for a toner for black printing and producing an expected electrostatic charge controlling effect by a small amt. of addition without using a metallic complex, etc., by using a specified benzo-heterocyclic compd. SOLUTION: A benzo-heterocyclic compd. represented by formula I, II or III is used as an electrostatic charge controlling agent. In the formula I, each of R1 -R5 is H, alkyl, substd. alkyl, aryl, halogen, nitro, cyano, hydroxy, alkoxy, carboxyl, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, etc. In the formula II, R1 is H, alkyl, substd. alkyl or aryl and each of R2 and R3 is H, alkyl, substd. alkyl, aryl, halogen or alkoxy. In the formula III, R1 is H, alkyl, substd. alkyl, etc., and each of R2 and R3 is H, alkyl, substd. alkyl, etc.</p> |
