<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an operation of taking a medium into/out of a cell block in a 1/2" magnetic tape device. SOLUTION: When a medium 2 is taken into or out of one of a large number of cell blocks installed in the device 4 by a picker arm 3 having a projection 31, an automatic latch with a spring 12 is carried out by moving the medium 2 along gradients (a) and (b) of the cell block 1, and also the latch is avoided by pressing in and rotating the medium inclined by the projection 31, so that it is not necessary for a hand mechanism 6 to perform a complicated operation, and the take-in/out of the medium 2 can be completed only by the advance and the retreat of the picker arm without altering its position.</p> |
