PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which recovers toner having a large amount of charges hard to recover from a toner carrier, to a developer carrier from the toner carrier easily. SOLUTION: This developing device 3 has the toner carrier 9 which holds toner on its periphery and is freely turnably supported in contact with a photoreceptor 1, and the developer carrier 15 which holds two-component developer, consisting of toner and carrier, on its periphery and is disposed opposite the toner carrier 9 with a specific amount of gap left between the toner carrier 9 and itself. The toner carrier 9 is made of a material which decreases by the contact of the toner carrier 9 and the photoreceptor 1 an amount of the charges of toner held on the toner carrier 9 which has passed through a developing area 41. |
