The prosthesis consists of femoral and tibial implants which are able to perform a flexion-extension angular movement relative to one another in the saggital plane and pivot in the frontal plane. The femoral implant is able to turn about one end (21) of a one-piece angled peg (20), while the tibial implant is able to pivot about the other end of the same peg. The upper end of the peg is able to rotate and move freely in bearings (8) in ovoid cavities in the side walls of the inter-cotyloidal box of the femoral implant, while the lower shank of the peg is able to rotate and move freely in a socket in a plate (23) connected to the tibial implant.
