PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce clerk's work for registration and to sufficiently shorten customer's waiting time by permitting only a customer previously registered as a member to use a handy scanner, and at the time of inputting a commodity code from the scanner, executing adjustment processing for a purchased commodity. SOLUTION: A server (s) permits only customers previously registered as members to use handy scanners A1 to An. Each of the handy scanners A1 to An transmits the commodity code of a read purchased commodity to a POS system (c) through a radio wave and displays purchased commodity information received from the POS system (c) on a screen. At the time of inputting a commodity code from each of the handy scanners A1 to An, the POS system (c) reads out commodity information corresponding to the commodity code from a previously stored commodity file, transmits the read information to the corresponding handy scanner, registers the commodity information as the commodity information of the purchased commodity declared by a customer and executes the adjustment processing of the purchased commodity based on the commodity information. |
