The invention relates to a process for regulating the throttle valve of an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle, and comprises an injection system controlled by an electronic calculator, as well as a throttle valve body assembly also controlled by said calculator and disposed in the air inlet system. The process consists in inhibiting the opening of the throttle valve body assembly during the engine ignition phase, irrespective of the degree to which the pedal is depressed by the driver, except in cases of anti-flooding when the pedal is depressed to the maximum degree. |
