PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a solid active carbon wherein sufficiently high mechanical strength is provided. SOLUTION: In rapid temperature-rising process (that is, binder-removing process) during thermal treatment process where a mold is thermally processed, an active carbon electrode is manufactured by raising a temperature at a specified temperature-rising rate of 300( deg.C/hr) or more. Therefore, temperature-rising rate during temperature-rising process for thermal treatment is fast enough to promptly decompose/remove an excessive part of phenol resin, thus sufficiently high mechanical strength is provided. |
