GROUP COMMUNICATION METHOD AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide group communication method and device capable of reducing traffic from a center device to edge devices without measuring the cell traffic of an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) switch part. SOLUTION: Since each edge device 14 is provided with a flow control function part 21 for detecting/monitoring a flow consisting of continuous packets and communicating these packets through a line allocated to the flow, the measurement of cell traffic in the ATM switch part 15 is made unnecessary, and since the center device 18 is provided with a line allocation part 22 for allocating another line (VC) to the flow informed of from the function part 21, traffic from the center device 18 to the edge device 14 is reduced.
