PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for painting out an outline font by element classifications and a storage medium capable of simply painting out a character constituted so that an element consisting of only a point, a vertical bar, a horizontal bar, sweep-away, jump, etc., consisting of a closed contour line is superimposed partially with each other with a less information amount. SOLUTION: All closed contour lines are decided in the same vector direction beforehand, and whether the vector direction of a crossing part between the contour line of the element and a scanning line is positive or negative is decided. Then, when the vector direction is positive, +1 is outputted, and when the vector direction is negative, -1 is outputted, and this value is added by an adder 22. Unless the added result isn't zero, a run length signal '1' is outputted, and the inside of the contour line of the character or the element is painted out by black. When the added result is zero, the run length signal is stopped, and thus, the outside of the contour line of the character or the element is made so as not to be painted out. |
