<p>A television system includes a television receiver (11) and remote control devices (18, 72). When an RGB bias level adjustment mode is set by the remote control devices, a CPU (74) passivates a ramp waveform generator (36) and activates a brightness component cutoff circuit (58a) and a color component cutoff circuit (58b), both of which are included in a Y/C mixing circuit (58). Accordingly a vertical deflection is stopped and a video signal having a pedestal level is output to a display (70). Therefore the central part in the vertical direction of the display emits light. Meanwhile, if a user operates the number key of the remote control system while observing the display, the bias level can be adjusted to the optimum condition.</p> |
