摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode active substance for lithium-iron based nonaqueous battery which not only has its charge/ discharge reversibility but is provided with its high discharge capacity. SOLUTION: A mixed crystalline phase of a lithium-iron complex oxide &alpha;-LiFeO2 having a crystal structure of space group Fm3m and lithium-iron complex oxide &beta;-LiFe5 O6 having a crystal structure of space group Fd3m, comprising a lithium-iron complex oxide of 0.1<=z<=0.7 in mole ratio z (Li/Fe) between lithium(Li) and iron (Fe) as an electrode active substance for nonaqueous battery.
