PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert optical fiber tapes through an extra length storage member with single operation without being restricted by extra length part storage space by providing a cross sectional shape that can batch-mount and store a plurality of optical fiber tapes in the laminated state, and forming cutout opening parts with specified spaces on faces opposed to the plane parts of the optical fiber tapes. SOLUTION: In an extra length storage member 10 that is a flexible thin film tube having a rectangular cross section formed of polyethylene or the like, opening parts 12 cut out in specified length at suitable spaces are formed at faces opposed to plane parts of optical fiber tapes 14 at the time of mounting and storing the optical fiber tapes 14 therein. The optical fiber tapes 14 are inserted in the laminated state through the extra length storage member 10 with one-time work. Even though the extra length parts of the optical fiber tapes 14 are taken in loop shape after connecting connectors or the like to both ends thereof, since looseness 14a generated by the bending radius difference of each optical fiber tape 14 is protruded to the outside through each opening part 12 of the extra length storage member 10, looseness is not concentrated on both ends of the extra length storage member 10. |
