The waterer has a water container (1) with a lid (2) which opens for re-filling, located sideways in a window box or plant pot. The container, which has a capacity of about 1.25 litres, has an outlet at the bottom with a connector (3) for a supple and porous rubber pipe (4) up to 1.2 m long with a plastic stopper (5) in its end. During use the water flows without pressure from the pipe, passing directly to the plant root zone and at a rate which corresponds exactly to the rate of the soil's capillary action.
