Rapidly mounted thermostatic valve

The thermostat has a box (1) which is shaped as a right angled elbow and made in one piece. The box is made to be interchangeable externally and internally with conventional motor thermostats and houses a two part thermostat (31,32). The fixed part of the thermostat (31) engages with a housing (10) in the output section (21) of the thermostat box and the moving part (32) which has a stop valve (4) meeting a seating (23) slides within a guiding sheath (5). Tongues (51) on the guiding sheath (5) transmit the spring loading (6) between sheath and stop valve (4) to a supporting structure after the assembly stage when it is carried by lugs (19). The thermostat is assembled to the box by a rapid push and twist bayonet action.
