PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground excavating machine which can excavate a tunnel having a larger diameter without varying the size and parallel momentum of a cutter frame. SOLUTION: In an underground excavating machine, a cutter frame 11 along a direction perpendicular to a moving direction is rotatably arranged through a parallel crank mechanism on the front side of a movably provided timbering part, and a plurality of pits 12 are provided on the front side of the cutter frame 11 through a rotary pedestal 19. In this case, the rotary pedestal 19 is rotatably attached to the cutter frame 11 on a pedestal shaft 19a along the direction of movement, and on the other side, an outer periphery roller bit 12 provided in the outer peripheral edge part of the cutter frame 11 is inclined to the pedestal shaft 19a of the rotary pedestal 19, and the action point of reactive force from the ground to the roller bit 12 is offset backward to the pedestal shaft 19a, and located on a side outer than the pedestal shaft 19a. |
