PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To markedly improve the moldability and the effect of reinforcement with a thermoplastic elastomer by adding a terpene resin in two divided stages, namely the stage of a polymerization stock solution based on a styrene monomer and the stage intervening between the polymerization and the molding. SOLUTION: To 100 pts.wt. styrene resin, desirably 1-20 pts.wt. terpene resin is added in the stage of a polymerization stock solution based on a styrene monomer, and desirably at most 30 pts.wt. terpene resin is added in the stage intervening the polymerization and the molding. It is desirable that in the stage preceding to molding, 0.1-25 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. styrene polymer, thermoplastic elastomer is added before the addition of the terpene resin. The thermoplastic elastomer used is desirably a styrene/butadiene block copolymer, more desirably a styrene/butadiene block copolymer having a butadiene content of 30-80wt.%. |
