<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a backspin from reducing on rainy days, expand a sweet spot, and improve the hitting distance by a method wherein the impact area of a wood club head wherein the impact area occupying the center of the face surface, comprises a metal material, is blast-treated without applying a coating. SOLUTION: A coating is not applied to the impact area 2 of a wood club wherein the impact area 2 which occupies the central area of the face surface 1 is formed of a metal material. Then, on the surface of the impact area 2, a blast treatment is applied. Thus, on the surface of the blasted area 2, a fine unevenness is formed. By forming the fine unevenness, moisture becomes hard to adhere to the impact area 2 on rainy days, and in addition, by the, coarseness of the impact area 2, water becomes easy to drop. Also, the frictional factor increases, and the backspin amount becomes optimum, and a dispersion becomes less as well. Therefore, an always stable spin amount can be obtained.</p> |
