PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an even unskillful operator to easily execute advance while easily grasping the posture of the tip of an endoscope and correlative relation in the respective parts of an inspected body on a screen. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic model generating part 18 collects the tomographic images of a prescribed area in relation to a desired vascular cavity and generates a stereoscopic model based on the tomographic images. An endoscope image generating part 16 generates an endoscope image where the inner part of the stereoscopic model is image-picked-up from a desired viewpoint position and an eye direction and displays it on the screen by using an image control part 21. A compass image generating part 20 obtains the body axial direction of the inspected body in accordance with the viewpoint position and the eye direction and also the directions of respective parts which are perpendicularly crossed with the body axial direction, generates a posture direction compass image indicating the directions and displays the posture direction compass image on the endoscope image through the use of the image control part 21. |
