摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel holding chuck for a robot mounted with a spare wheel which dispenses with manual inverting operations of the spare wheel. SOLUTION: When a spare wheel 9 is mounted on a vehicle upon being inverted using a robot 1, it 1 should perform such operations one after another as inverting the spare wheel 9, placing the inverted wheel 9 on a provisionally placing device 7, and mounting on the vehicle 7 upon holding it 9 from above. A wheel holding chuck device 3 of spare wheel mounting robot is arranged so that a plurality of chuck arms are moved outward in the radial direction within the center hole of the spare wheel to cause contacting with the circumferential surface of the center hole, and the first and second wheel detent pawls for detention with the peripheral edge of the center hole are provided protrusively on the outside of each chuck arm.</p>
