<p>Waste material, e.g. fly ash, asphalt and similar, is treated by mixing with binders in a pre-determined ratio. A matrix is produced by allowing one or more binders to react with the material under pre-determined reaction conditions, so that contaminants present in the waste material are immobilised and not removed by leaching. Also claimed is a construction material, e.g. a sand replacement, obtained using the method described above. Also claimed is the production system for the material consisting of a mixer and a reactor, preferably an autoclave.</p> |
