摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel nucleic acid molecule that codes the whole length of amino acid sequence of protein IB in Neisseria gonorrhoeae MS11 strain and is useful for producing a vaccine that effectively inhibits the infection with the pathogenic bacteria of gonorrhea. SOLUTION: This is a novel substantially purified nucleic acid molecule that codes the whole amino acid sequence of the protein IB in Neisseria gonorrhoeae MS11 strain and the sequence of the amino acids is shown by the formula. Thus, this is useful in producing a vaccine composition for prevention or the treatment of the infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae, one of the most widely infesting the pathogenic bacteria of gonorrhea on the world. This nucleic acid molecule is obtained by extracting DNA from Neisseria gonorrhoeae MS11 strain, treating the DNA with a restriction enzyme, inserting it into the cloning vector, introducing the vector into the host cells, screening the DNA with a probe designed from the N-terminus amino acid sequence of the gonococcus protein IB and recovering the DNA from the resultant clone.
