PRODUCTION OF STYRENIC POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for styrenic polymer that causes no adhesion of the polymerized powder particles to wall faces of the polymerization tank and to the mixing blades and no agglomeration by adhesion of polymer particles to each other accordingly, that is excellent in the operability in polymerization and handleability in conveying of polymer powder after polymerization. SOLUTION: In the production of styrenic polymer having mainly syndiotactic structure in a synthesizing tank equipped with an agitation mechanism, the liquid content (liquid weight×100/the weight of powder + the weight of liquid) is maintained lower than 50wt.% in the synthesizing tank and the agitation blades are stirred so that the workload given to the powder and the liquid is 1kJ/m<3> .sec per unit volume of the powder or more.
