PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overall structure of a head while eliminating or simplifying adjustment of positional shift between heads by employing a share mode type color ink jet head. SOLUTION: A large number of grooves are made in a board obtained by pasting piezoelectric members 31, 32 with the length of the groove being differentiated for yellow, magenta, cyan and black inks and a top plate 38 is fixed onto each groove through a spacer 36. The spacer is provided with ink supply holes for respective colors at the positions corresponding to the rear end of respective grooves and the top plate is provided with yellow, magenta, cyan and black ink supply paths 37Y, 37M, 37C and 37K for supplying ink of respective colors to the top plate. Since the position of ink supply hole for each color depends on the length of the groove, the ink supply paths 37Y, 37M, 37C and 37K can be formed in parallel in the top plate 38. |
