SOLUTION: This activating furnace of producing activated carbon is electrically heated and closed to improve its heat efficiency. Further, the furnace is provided with a setter 21 for calculating and setting a temp. - time curve to efficiently heat the material, a setter 22 for calculating and setting a power- time curve from the temp. - time curve and a controller 23 for supplying a power to the furnace 1 in accordance with the power-time curve to conduct good activation.
