PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively obtain a ceramic molded body excellent in strength and durability and having air cleaning acting and antibacterial action by putting glaze contg. a specified amt. of tourmaline powder on the surface of a ceramic compact and carrying out firing at a specified temp. SOLUTION: Glaze 10 contg. 10-50wt.%, preferably 20-40wt.% tourmaline powder 10b having about 6μm average particle diameter as an ore represented by the formula NaX3 Al6 B3 Si6 (O, OH)30 (OH, F) (where X is Mg, or Fe and Mn, or Li and Al) is put on the surface of a ceramic molded body 6, preferably a tile and firing is carried out at <=950 deg.C, preferably about 850 deg.C. Tile body is fired once, the tourmaline-contg. glaze is put on the surface of the resultant tile and concluding firing is carried out.
