PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording paper with superior water resistance and, feed and discharge smoothness by forming at a base layer having many fine hollows inside a film obtained by stretching a propylene resin film, a surface layer of a stretched film of a specific propylene resin film and a primer layer. SOLUTION: In an ink-jet recording paper recorded with an ink obtained by heating and melting a solid ink, a biaxially stretching film of a propylene resin film having many fine hollows thereinside is used as a base layer. A surface layer of a stretched film of a propylene resin film containing 80-20wt.% inorganic fine particles of a 25000-300000cm<2> /g specific surface area and a 0.02-0.9μm average particle size in a propylene resin by 20-80wt.% is layered on one face of the base layer. A primer layer is formed on the surface layer, which is obtained by applying and drying an aqueous solution of a polymer compound primer containing nitrogen of a specific composition.
