PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a need for an auxiliary air tank and perform reliable operation and increase a spring constant by completely closing a lower pneumatic chamber by a cover plate guided and supported by a rod when the stroke of an air spring exceeds a given value. SOLUTION: The end parts of a bellows 18 are coupled to the lower end part of an inverted cup type outer cylinder 13 and the upper end part of an inner cylinder 20 to form an air spring. A cover plate 17 making contact with the upper edge of the inner cylinder 20 is elevatably fitted in and supported at an immobile rod 15 extending through the axes of the upper end walls of the outer cylinder 13 and the lower end wall of the inner cylinder 20. A spring 14 wound around the rod 15 is located between a spring seat 9 coupled to the upper end part of the rod 15 and the cover plate 17 and the end part of the spring 14 is locked at the spring seat 9 and the cover plate 17. |
