A driving device of a closing and/or regulating mechanism (2) for tapping liquid molten baths from a container (1) has a an extension arm (9) extending substantially horizontally on the container, height-adjustably mounted on a support (7) that can be fixed outside the container (1) and can be coupled on top of the container with a driving rod (12) entering vertically into the inside of the container. Said rod can be coupled to a rotational refractory rotor (4) placed in the container (1) and serving as its turning drive unit, the rotor (4) being mounted on a refractory tubular stator (3) affixed in the container forming together the opening and/or regulating mechanism (2). The extension arm (9) is height-adjustably propped on the support (7) in such a way that the driving rod (12) exerts a defined pressure on the rotor (4) and this in turn on the stator (3). The extension arm (9) is supported on at least one pressure spring (14) fixed on the support (7), the prestressing force of which can be regulated in such a way that the desired pressure of the driving rod (12) on the rotor can be obtained, thereby producing optimal sealing between said rotor and the stator. |
