PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound small in dependence on the conditions for a reaction fixation, excellent in dyed color reproducibility, satisfy ing soil resistance to a white portion and chlorine resistance, capable of aiming at the improvement in productivity of printing processed articles, high quality and a longer life of products, and useful as a blue-based dyestuff. SOLUTION: This formazane compound is a compound of formula I (R is H, OH, sulfonic acid, Cl, F, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy or carboxyl; M is Cu or Ni) and a compound of formula II is shown as an example. The compound of the formula I is obtained by reacting a formazane amino compound of formula III with an equi-molar 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine to obtain a condensed compound, and the performing a condensation reaction of the same with an equi-molar 1-naphtylamide-3,6,8-trisulfonic acid.
