POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polycarbonate resin composition excellent in antibacterial properties and in surface appearance with little discoloration and pits by blending a resin component consisting of an aromatic polycarbonate resin and an aromatic polycarbonate oligomer with a soluble phosphorus salt based glass powder containing Ag2 O and having a specified mean particle diameter. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. resin component consisting of 98-70wt.% aromatic polycarbonate resin comprising an optionally branched thermoplastic polycarbonate polymer obtained by reacting an aromatic dihydroxy compound or its mixture with a small amount of a polyhydroxy compound with phosgene or a carbonic diester and 2-30wt.% aromatic polycarbonate oligomer obtained by reacting an aromatic dihydroxy compound with phosgene or a carbonic diester by using a molecular weight modifier; 0.1-9 pts.wt. soluble phosphorus salt based glass powder having a mean particle diameter of at most 10μm and containing 0.1-8wt.% Ag2 O; and, if necessary, arbitrary additives.
