PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve good liquid separability between solutions and productivity by setting stirring power and circulating frequency within their respective specific value ranges when the viscosity of a hydrophobic solvent solution and the viscosity of an aqueous substance solution and their volume ratio in a stationary condition show a specific value respectively during the separating of an organic substance from a substance. SOLUTION: The volume ratio between a hydrophobic solvent solution and an aqueous solution in a stationary condition falls within the range of 0.6:0.4-0.95:0.05, the viscosity of the hydrophobic solvent solution of an organic substance is 3×10<-3> Pa. sec or more and is 1.05 times more the viscosity of an aqueous solution of a substance, the stirring power P calculated by formula I falls within the range of 0.4-0.6kw/m<3> , and the circulating frequency P as calculated by formula II [in the formula, Np is nondimensional power number; P is the weighted average density (kg/m<3> ) of a component constituting a total liquid layer; n in a rate of stirring (r.p.s.); d is the diameter (m) of a stirring blade; V is liquid quantity (m<3> ) of a total liquid layer; Qd is the discharge quantity (m<3> .sec<-1> ) of a stirring blade; and Q is stirring time (sec)] falls within the range of 35-100 times. Thus it is possible to enhance the liquid reparability between the hydrophobic solvent solution and the aqueous solution and productivity.
