PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric porcelain of which temperature characteristics of a resonant frequency can be easily controlled, by combining two or more kinds of perovskite type crystalline phases having different piezoelectric characteristics into a composite, and further to provide its production method. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric porcelain comprises two or more kinds of perovskite type crystalline particles having different piezoelectric characteristics, which contain Pb, Zr, Ti, Nb, Sb and Cr as metal elements, and preferably has piezoelectric characteristics of >=45% electromechanical coupling factor and (-2500)-(500)ppm/ deg.C temperature coefficient of a resonance frequency. The piezoelectric porcelain is obtained by forming a compact by using two or more kinds of piezoelectric type oxide powder composites having different piezoelectric characteristics and firing the compact with a microwave at a temp. of 1,000-1,200 deg.C. |
