<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the shape detection method of a rolled material for improving the response of measurement without increasing sensors to be used. SOLUTION: By setting four sensors provided at four disks 4 in section units for constituting a shape detection roller 1 by successively shifting a phase in the same direction at each specific angle in steps of two sensors by one periphery in circumference direction, the four sensors are arranged around one periphery in double spiral shape while the phase is shifted in circumference direction one another. Then, a tension distribution in plate width direction is measured based on a signal from the sensor in contact with a rolled material at each 1/2 rotation, thus detecting a plate shape.</p> |
