PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dielectric filter that is made small to the utmost. SOLUTION: A lateral groove 11 is extended along an opening end face 8 from an end ridge of a throughhole 4, an extended conductor 10a continuous with an inner conductor 5 being an inner circumferential face of the throughhole 4 and being an inner circumferential face of the lateral groove 11 is coated, and the extended conductor 10a shares part of the resonance length of resonators 2, 2 and the sum (L1 +L2 ) of the length of the inner conductor 5 and the length of the extended conductor 10a is nearly made in matching with a wavelength (λ)/4 with respect to a resonance frequency. Thus, the height of the dielectric ceramic block 2 is reduced by the length of the extended conductor 10a that the height of a conventional filter.
