PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus, a method for controlling discharge of ink of an image-forming apparatus and an ink cartridge, having stable performance to a temperature change in the neighborhood. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 80 for feeding ink to be discharged from a recording head includes ink chambers 83, 85 filled with ink, an ink communication slit 86 and an air communication port 87. A filling member 84 is filled in the ink chamber 83. The ink is supplied to the recording head via a feed pipe 31. The ink cartridge 80 is formed of resin having a 1mm-diameter Nichrome wire 88 buried to enclose the ink chamber 83. A part of the Nichrome wire 88 is connected to a heater power source 90 provided at a suitable part of an image-forming apparatus to generate heat at the part. Another part is grounded. The heater power source 90 is controlled by a heater power source- driving part. A weight ratio of the buried Nichrome wire is determined, e.g. to balance with a source capacity of the heater power source. |
