The door securing device acts between the door frame and the vehicle door, with a brake for the movement of the door combined with one of the door hinges and engaged and disengaged via an electric drive e.g. a linear motor drive. This is controlled by an electronic control in dependence on the door position, the movement direction, the momentary movement velocity and data relating to the movement characteristics, e.g. the door weight and the inclination angle of the vehicle. |
