<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a following vehicle of the presence of a vehicle by lighting a stop lamp instead when a disconnection of a tail lamp is detected. SOLUTION: When a disconnection occurs in a tail lamp 5 in a condition in which a tail switch 13 is turned on and the tail lamp 5 is lit, power supply of a stop lamp 1 is turned on and off to light the stop lamp 1. The brightness of the stop lamp 1 in this case is set to the same brightness as that the tail lamp 5 by changing a duty ratio. When a stop switch 12 is turned on in this condition, the on/off lighting of the stop lamp 1 is stopped to light the stop lamp 1 at a duty ratio of 100% so as to achieve its original brightness. Moreover, when the stop switch 12 is turned on in a condition in which the disconnection of the tail lamp 5 occurs, the stop lamp 1 is lit at a duty ratio of 100%.</p> |
