PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form uniform grain by making current distribution uniform and improve maintainability in a method for electrolytically treating to form grain in a support for a lithographic printing plate. SOLUTION: An electrolyte 2 is stored in an electrolytically treating tank 1. Many electrodes 3 are provided at a bottom of the tank 1 via an insulating plate 4. The electrodes 3 are connected to a power supply roll 6 via an AC power source 5. A length (a) of an aluminum web 11 of the electrodes 3 in an advancing direction is set to a range of 50 to 200mm, a length (b) of the web 11 in the advancing direction is set to a range of 1 to 30mm, current distribution of the electrodes 3 are made in a range of±30% of a mean current value, and it is electrolytically treated.
