PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce development density irregularity by providing a developer scraping member, which scrapes developer on a developer carrier, and a developer stir member, which stirs the developer, in a developer storage part. SOLUTION: A Mylar(R) 101, as the developer scraping member, which scrapes the developer on the developer carrier and the developer stir member 102 which stirs the developer are provided in the developer storage part R situated downstream from a toner replenishment port 8a and upstream from a doctor 6 in the direction where the developer is carried by a developing sleeve 4. When the developer on the surface of the developing sleeve 4 reaches the developer storage part R by the rotation of the sleeve 4 in the direction shown by the arrow, it is once scraped off the surface of the developing sleeve 4 by the Mylar(R) 101. The thus scraped developer is stirred by the stir member 102 while moved, and then it is carried to a developing area again by being held on the surface of the developing sleeve 4. |
