PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the distance of a subject in a board three-dimensional space regardless of the restriction of observer's binocular parallax by providing a parallax control part or the like for controlling the binocular parallax so that solid images photographed with a plurality of cameras are contained in the observer's binocular integrated range. SOLUTION: A parallax control part 4 controls the binocular parallax so that the image is contained in the binocular integration range by horizontally moving the right and left images with the solid images photographed with cameras 1 and 2 so that the images are contained in the observer's binocular integrated range. A 3D display 6 displays the output of the parallax control part 4 through a super imposer 5. The superimposer 5 displays the pointer, which approximately specifies the position of the object in the approximate space in the 3D display 6. A pointer operating means 8 moves the pointer position. A parallax detecting part 3 computes the binocular parallax in the parallax detecting region determined by the approximate position specified by the pointer operating means 8. A distance measuring part 3 computes the distance or the like to the object from the output of the parallax detecting part 3. |
