A 3D display 6 displays the output of the parallax control part 4 through a super imposer 5. The superimposer 5 displays the pointer, which approximately specifies the position of the object in the approximate space in the 3D display 6. A pointer operating means 8 moves the pointer position. A parallax detecting part 3 computes the binocular parallax in the parallax detecting region determined by the approximate position specified by the pointer operating means 8. A distance measuring part 3 computes the distance or the like to the object from the output of the parallax detecting part 3.
