PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sagging from being generated on the drawing part of flexible material. SOLUTION: A flexible batten is produced by feeding flexible material which is drawn by a drawn line head along a drawing part 104 by a prescribed amount. Pinch roller mechanisms 76, 52 which pinch the flexible material with its upper part roller and its lower part roller are formed at the drawing part 104, a main motor 102 is jointed to the roller of one pinch roller mechanism 76, and a DC motor 75 is jointed to the roller of the other pinch roller mechanism 52. When drawing is conducted against the flexible material on the drawing part 104, the excitation of the DC motor 75 is cut of, and a controller feeds the flexible material at a high speed to a position a few centimeter to this side of a targeted value by driving the main motor 102 at a high speed. After that, the flexible material is fed by the targeted value +αby the low-speed driving of the main motor 102. In order to eliminate sagging 126 of the flexible material, the rotation of the main motor 102 is reversed at a low speed to return the flexible material by -Α. When the flexible material is returned by -α, excitation is applied to the DC motor 75 in a flexible material feeding direction.
