摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength while retaining the cushioning properties possessed by soil and suppressing effects on mud or abrasion, by mixing a natural resin such as guar gum as a shock absorber and a binder and an inorganic solidifying agent such as a cement as a binder to a clay paving material and thermally kneading the resultant mixture. SOLUTION: A sandy soil which is a granite weathered soil is used as a clay paving material. A natural resin such as guar gum is used and a Portland cement is used as an inorganic solidifying agent such as a cement. The materials are mixed and kneaded while adding water thereto. The amount of the guar gum is about 0.1-3.0% expressed in terms of percentage by weight and the cement is used in an amount of about 3.0-10.0% expressed in terms of percentage by weight. The kneaded material is then laid on a paving base and graded and rolled. The volume of the whole paving material is expanded in a state of the guar gum by water absorption and swelling to cause a chemical reaction of the Portland cement and bind soil grains. The guar gum assists the binding force while slowly dehydrating. |
