NONFLAMMABLE OR FLAME-RETARDANT VAPOR CLEANING COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vapor cleaning compsn. which solves the environmental and equipment problems caused by chlorofluorocarbons and has a b.p. higher than that of a fluorocarbon alone, thus providing higher vapor cleaning effects, by mixing a fluorocarbon with a nonvolatile substance in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This compsn. is a mixture of 10-99wt.% fluorocarbon and 1-90wt.% nonvolatile substance, and in the compsn., the two ingredients are completely compatible with each other at room temp. or they becomes compatible with each other at about the b.p. of the fluorocarbon to form a homogeneous soln. Pref. the compsn. is further mixed with 1-60wt.% volatile polyorganosiloxane having a b.p. lower than 130 deg.C. A hydrofluoroether and a hydrofluorocarbon are examples of ingredient A. An example of ingredient B is a nonvolatile polyorganosiloxane having a b.p. of 130 deg.C or higher.
