PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately machine a work and to facilitate efficient attaching/detaching of the work by applying a fluid having a temperature lower than the coagulating temperature of high polymer coagulant supplied between the work and a fixing jig surface to a fixing jig and cooling this and fixing the work by freezing. SOLUTION: A high polymer coagulant film is formed on a fixing surface 30, a work 5 is placed thereon, machining solution or cooling gas is injected into the work or a fixing jig 3 and the temperature of the fixing surface is set lower than the coagulating point of high polymer coagulant. Thus, the work 5 is strongly adhered to the fixing surface 30 by the coagulation molecules of the frozen high polymer coagulant. Since the fixing state of the work 5 is thereby obtained, a machining device is actuated and desired machining is performed by a tool 2. At this time, machining solution or cooling gas is supplied to a contact part area between the tool 2 and the work 5. After the machining, when the supplying of the machining solution or the cooling gas is stopped, the temperature of the fixing surface 30 is returned and the machined work 5 is removed. |
